Maureen FitzSimons' early achievements in the performing arts (now called Maureen O'Hara), would have placed her, according to American standards, in the category of child prodigy. These traits were natural to a person born in Ireland. by gifted parents and a loving family. Maureen was welcomed into this cherished sanctuary in Ranelagh, Ireland on August 17th of 1920. Marguerita LIlburn FitzSimons is her mom. She was a skilled contralto. Charles FitzSimons ran a Dublin firm, as well as held shares of the Irish Shamrock Rovers, a soccer team. Maureen was the third of six FitzSimons children. Peggy, Florrie, Charles B. Fitzsimons, Margot Fitzsimons and James O'Hara completed this beautiful family. Maureen loved playing rough sporting games in her youth and excelled at sports. Her passion for sports was matched by an equally natural aptitude for performing.
